ROTA PIANO WEEK 2020

Rota Piano Week III 2020 will be held in Rota, at the HOTEL PLAYA DE LA LUZ, Av. de la Diputación, S/N, 11520 Rota.

Rota Piano Week is divided in three events:

A. International Masterclass for Pianists by Óscar Martín and Michał Białk.
B. Concerts held by outstanding participants of the Masterclass chosen by Mr. Martín and Mr. Białk.
C. Competition. Concerning the level of all participants in concerts and lessons Mr. Martín and Mr. Białk will choose the pianists to participate on Sunday 9th in the Competition, that grants the winner the opportunity to offer a solo concert in Seville, in the 2020/2021 season.

The opening concert will be held on February 3rd and ROTA PIANO WEEK III Masterclass will start on February 3th at 10.00 h. and will end on February 9th, together with the Closing Concert and Competition in the evening. 
Arrival and departure dates for participants are:
                –  arrival              –  February 2nd   (Sunday)
                –  departure         –  February 10th   (Monday)


2.  RULES OF PARTICIPATION AND GENERAL CONDITIONS


a)  Each class will last 50 minutes. Depending on availability, the participants can opt for three different registration plans.


  • A) 9 classes. Three classes with each teacher - € 500
  • B) 6 classes. Two classes with each teacher - € 350
  • C) 3 classes. One class with each teacher - € 200


The three modalities fee include:

  • participation in AT LEAST one of the concerts organized in course of the session.
  • practice facilities.
  • Rota Piano Week III 2020 diploma confirming active participation.

b)  The number of active participants is limited. There is no age limit to participation in the master-class. In case of several applications of similar level, the order in which they were received will be taken into account.


c)  Application process:

  • Applicants should send an email to rotapianoweek@gmail.com including their name, adress, phone number, CV, chosen quota and a repertoire list for the Masterclass. Deadline is January 10th, 2020.
  • Rota Piano Week 2020 will start on Monday, February 3rd with an opening concert. Closing ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 9th. All participants who are not able to be in Rota for the whole time of the Masterclass must inform the secretary until January 15th.

d)  Payment:

We do not require an enrollment fee or advance payment. The full amount should be paid, in cash, on the first day of the masterclass.


e)  Travel and accommodation:

Hotel Playa de la luz is strategic partner of the Rota Piano Week 2020 and provides rooms with a special price just for the participants of the Event and their families or friends for the stay during the Masterclass. Please contact the hotel directly and add the name of the Rota Piano Week to your reservation. Do not forget to add in your booking that, the reason for the reservation is TO PARTICIPATE IN ROTA PIANO WEEK III, to get the special price.

All costs involved in coming to and staying in Rota (transport, living expenses and insurance costs) are the responsibility of a participant.


3.  SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO ARE UNDER AGE


The parent or legal guardian of the participant who is under age, declares his or her agreement with the fact that the Rota Piano Week cannot assume any responsibility for supervising the participant who is under age. This applies in particular to behavior immediately before the beginning or at the end of the masterclass/course and outside the rooms where the masterclass/course is held. The parent or legal guardian is responsible for damage caused by the participant who is under age.


4.  LIABILITY


Participation in the Rota Piano Week occurs at the participant’s own risk. Participants are responsible for damage which they may cause.


5.  SEVERABILITY CLAUSE


If individual terms of these terms and conditions are or become ineffective, the validity of the other terms of these general conditions are not thereby affected. The ineffective term is replaced by a substitute provision which comes closest to the intended regulation.
